On the remotes we sell that have LED's fitted (red or green) we know that old or weak batteries can light up the LED, but are NOT powerful enough to make the remote control transmit the infra red signal to the TV.

This is particularly relevant to the Classic product numbers IRC81600 / IRC81601 / IRC81602.

Make sure you fit BRAND NEW good quality batteries to your remote control.

We really do recommend Duracell batteries as although more expensive, they genuinely last a lot longer than other brands.

Do not transfer old batteries from another remote !

So - before returning the remote control, check you have brand new batteries fitted, and see the other FAQ's on this site. Feel free to e-mail us with any questions.
